At the end of 2010, we were already working side by side with around 40,000 coffee farmers across 7 countries and sourcing more than 60% of our coffee from the AAA program.

We started this program 7 years ago, in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance having realized that due to volatile market conditions and unpredictable weather patterns, farm management costs were rising at a significant rate. The effects of poverty and urbanization in certain coffee growing regions have made growing coffee a challenging business, especially for smallholder farmers.
